This is the second event organised by the Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors Healthcare Special Interest Group and it will include interactive workshops led by experienced human factors professionals. Several workshops will be especially tailored to the needs of clinicians and managers who want to learn more about human factors, understand how to build human factors into their organisations and learn the latest thinking in quality improvement based on resilience engineering. The provisional programme is now available and more details will be added soon. Listen to two influential keynote speakers and a series of presentations on recent research undertaken to address quality and safety problems in healthcare. There will also be posters to view and discuss and plenty of opportunity for networking.
This event will explore how to improve quality and safety. The principal goal is the exchange of information through a series of keynotes, presentations, workshops and posters.

Comment from a delegate following last year’s event:
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you/congratulations for putting on such a great conference yesterday. It brought together a terrific community, had some highly notable speakers, showed off some great HF/E research and engendered a real sense of putting ergonomics/human factors at the heart of things.”
